VISTA Project Goals and Objectives

Goal 1: Develop a more consistent class structure and formal curriculum for the Homeless Prenatal Program Technology Center.

1. Review current Curriculum.
2. Research Best Practice.
3. Recommend changes and adjustments to HPP Tech Center Curriculum.
4. Review changes and adjustment.

Goal 2: Develop linkages with vocational and educational training programs in the San Francisco Bay Area.

1. Meet with HPP Staff and clients to determine Vocational and Educational needs of clients.
2. Identify, contact and visit appropriate Educational and Vocational training programs .
3. Develop referral protocols between HPP Case Managers and Educational and Vocational training programs.
4. Present findings at HPP Staff meetings.

Goal 3: Work on the development team to create a website of resources for the homeless population of San Francisco, especially families that are homeless

1. Convene focus groups with HPP Case Managers and clients to determine content and design of website.
2. Work with Web Designer in the development of content for website.
3. Assist in the development of client web design class.
4. Lead a client design team in the updating and maintenance of client website.
5. Train an HPP Staff Member in the maintenance and development of client website.
